The Gaming Lounge

The Sims 4

Seems I’m having something of a love-hate relationship with this game. It’s like every Sims game I seem to play – I start with a basic idea and complicate it to the max! Either that, or things go ways I didn’t expect… Like my Sims having twins!

Overall, I am enjoying it.

Especially as it’s something of a distraction from the pain. As I’ve really been struggling to type and my handwriting has become completely illegible. As, even though playing hurts (though not as badly as typing!) it has at least ensured that I don’t completely lose my sanity to a lack of creative opportunity!

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

It seems like we’ve started to zoom through the game now, completing the first round of Kaer Morhen main quests and bearing witness to a Trial of the Grasses (after taking the chance to kill Old Speartip – a cyclops who’d killed many Witchers-in-training before!).

Since then, we’ve been given the task to go out and collect a few allies… But, of course, we’ve sidetracked a little bit and are now trying to clear even more of the question marks off of the map, having completed everything we can in Skellige and now turning our attention to Novigrad.

The way we’re going, we’re going to be so overpowered when it comes time to fight the Wild Hunt! Especially as we’ve just hit level 30 and are already fighting level 34 enemies and the (occasional) level 37 wolf!

  • My parents didn’t like this film, but I did. It was a bit slow, a bit too long, but had some interesting twists.
• Scooby Doo and the Goblin King (2008) – 4.5 Stars
  • Cute, different from the usual Scooby Doo films and with an impressive voice cast!
• Tom and Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (2017) – 3 Stars

Nobody’s Angel by Kallypso Masters

I’ve been “reading” this book for quite some time now and am rather ashamed to admit how long it took me to finish it. And that’s not because it was bad. I’m actually really enjoying it, but I just couldn’t seem to get into the rhythm of the book until it was practically over!
